Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

The opening day cornerstone attraction for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. The infamous ship has landed at Black Spire Outpost for a bit of repair from battles. While waiting in the queue, guests might see familiar friends like Chewie when walking through an identical replica of the ship.

The line starts at the ground level of Batuu, where guests will see the backside of the Millennium Falcon. As you continue through the line to board the attraction, you will see ships and engines that are under repair. Once guests enter the control room, Shipping and Logistics Coordinator Hondo Ohnaka will be there to greet you with his sales pitch. If you don’t know, Hondo Ohnaka is from the animated series’ The Clone Wars and Rebels. A fun fact: the Hondo Ohnaka audio-animatronic is the second most advanced animatronic at the Disney Parks. The first is the Na’vi shaman from Na’vi River Journey inside Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Once on board the attraction, six guests will take up three positions, two pilots, two gunners and two flight engineers. Smugglers Run reacts to everything the riders do. If they don’t shoot at a TIE Fighter the flight path will be altered, if they do take down the Fighter, then the ship might go a completely different direction. This allows for each experience on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to be different every time. Be careful though, if you wreck the Falcon, everyone in the galaxy will know.
