Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is opening soon at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and while we don’t know a whole lot about what’s waiting for guests behind the construction walls, we do know some of the details about the land. Guests are in for a fully immersive Star Wars experience that’s all set to a detailed back story.

For a little refresher, Galaxy’s Edge is set on Black Spire Outpost, which is a village on the planet Batuu. The planet is on the edge of known space and is known as a retreat for smugglers and merchants who want to stay off the radar.

Guests will encounter friends and foes of the Star Wars universe. Chewbacca, R2-D2, Rey, Finn, BB-8 and others are all waiting to greet you on an epic Star Wars adventure. But be warned, there are Stormtroopers lead by Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma to be found here too. Pledge your allegiance wisely.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is home to two new attractions, which are opening in phases. Opening day at both parks will allow guests to experience Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, then later in the year Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open.

Food and beverages are around every corner. Dining in Galaxy’s Edge presents familiar items like fried chicken and meatloaf to Black Spire Outpost visitors in a new and unique way they might not expect.

Purchasing merchandise becomes an experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Guests will be able to not only buy lightsabers and droids, but they can customize them exactly how they want them to look!
