Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Opening as part of the second phase of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Rise of the Resistance is the second attraction in the new land. To go along with the back story of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the Resistance and The First Order are both at Black Spire Outpost searching for something.

The attraction takes guests aboard a Resistance transport, then into the heart of a First Order Star Destroyer, and into the path of two giant AT-ATs. Guests will be joined by familiar Star Wars characters like Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) for a thrilling battle journey. Each of the stars who portrayed these characters on screen in the Star Wars films will be reprising their roles in the attraction.

As guests go through the queue of Rise of the Resistance, they will find quite a few small rooms filled with Resistance memorabilia and technology. They will then head into the heart of the Resistance, the control center. There, guests will be greeted by BB-8. The lovable droid shows guests a hologram of Rey who is telling visitors that they have to board a transport soon for their mission, which is led by Poe Dameron.

When on the mission, guests will watch monitors showing they have been cleared for takeoff. Soon, you’re intercepted by a First Order Star Destroyer, and guests will find themselves in a First Order hangar, filled with Stormtroopers and TIE Fighters. From there, visitors are gathered into a room just like the one where Kylo Ren tortured Poe Dameron, and you might learn something of value that the Resistance will need to first the First Order.

After the interrogation room, guests will board a trackless ride vehicle, which takes you through other hangers and face-to-face with other Star Wars characters. Disney has not announced how long the attraction is, so that 28 minute ride time is just a rumor.
