Shadowhunters season 3 episode 16 live stream: Watch online

It’s time for another family reunion on Shadowhunters tonight – in more ways than one. All hail the Queen.

Things have gone from messy to messier on Shadowhunters. Luke’s in prison, Clary’s going a little  demonic, Jonathan is still on the loose, no one’s managed to find the Morning Star sword, and they still haven’t been able to figure out what kind of torture is happening at the Gard.

Tonight marks the halfway point of the series’ final episodes, so there’s still time to handle all this. Even so, the episode’s mission seems pretty straightforward. Here’s how Freeform sums it up:

"Clary and Jace come up with a risky plan to get rid of her twinning rune, which may bring an old enemy back into the fray. Meanwhile, Alec is worried about Magnus."

Thanks to Twitter, we know that “may” means “definitely will.”

The Queen of Edom is back, in all her menacing glory, but if we know anything about Lilith, it’s that she’ll do anything to protect Jonathan and the rune that has become his life force. Then again, their relationship has always been complicated.  She burned her kid after all, and he hasn’t been able to hold onto Clary. This particular family reunion could go sideways very quickly.

That said, Magnus should probably be the focus of our concern tonight. When we left him last week, he was seizing as a result of his body rejecting Lorenzo’s magic. Assuming it’s like an organ transfer, Magnus could die.

But knowing Alex, he won’t let that happen.
