Saturday Night Live season 44 episode 16 live stream: Watch online

Oh, are we so happy that Sandra Oh is hosting Saturday Night Live. She’ll be joined by musical guest Tame Impala.

If you aren’t excited about this week’s Saturday Night Live, let me help you out a bit. After taking a short break following Idris Elba’s episode, SNL is returning with the one and only Sandra Oh as its host. Sharing the stage with her that night will be Tame Impala as the musical guest.

We’ve seen glimpses of Sandra Oh in the comedy world, from her role as the vice principal in  The Princess Diaries to her hilarious hosting at the Golden Globes. Now, it’s about time Sandra Oh stepped on the Saturday Night Live stage to host, and we’re expecting some big things out of her.

Already, we’re absolutely wishing that she’ll reprise her role as Dr. Cristina Yang from Grey’s Anatomy. And while the show is generally pretty serious, there are tons of little dramatic moments in between that aren’t immune to some good old fashion parodying. And if not that, then please, oh please, give us a Killing Eve sketch.

If you need any convincing that Oh will be a good host, just take a look at this promo for Saturday’s episode where Oh becomes a little marshmallow bandit. Dare we say, this is absolutely hilarious and adorable?

After a detour from the usual political cold open to do the viral R. Kelly one, it’s likely they’ll go back to another political opening this week. Personally, it was a great break to have a cold open that didn’t involve Trump or anyone from Congress, and it shows that the writers don’t always have to stick to the formula to get good laughs.

But this week, we’re sure a cold open in response to the Mueller report could be the main focus of the opening. Of course, it’ll definitely make it into Weekend Update. We’re also sure some of the recent Jussie Smollett news will make it into Update as well, because the turn of events has been all too ripe for SNL not to pick.
