Cookin’ With Coolio by Coolio

Cookin’ with Coolio: 5 Star Meals at a 1 Star Price, gifted to us by our beloved West Coast rapper, Coolio, is not your average cookbook. The recipe book is actually paired with a web-based cooking program in which Coolio instructs his viewers on how to make some of his favorite recipes. So, it’s a perfect addition to the traditional cookbook in the new age of technology. Also, it’s extremely entertaining.

The original cookbook was released in 2009 and it’s geared toward making five-star meals at a one-star price. The recipes consist of mainly comfort foods, but with a healthy spin on them. So, you’ll still be eating balanced!

Throughout this cookbook, we learn that Coolio actually started making quick and easy meals as a child. (So, he’s actually been a seasoned chef this whole time and no one had any idea.) And, since his youth, he has continued and even created a fun and on-brand name for his dishes: Ghetto Gourmet. Some of his most popular dishes are his Finger-Lickin’, Rib-Stickin’, Fall-Off-the-Bone-and-into-Your-Mouth Chicken (which tastes as good as it sounds) and his famous Soul Rolls

If you’re a big baker, then you definitely need to give his, Banana Ba-ba-ba-bread a go. It is sweetened with golden honey and has rave reviews from his fans. Also, his homemade breads and biscuits are perfect as a side to any dish. But, if you’re looking for something sweeter, his Chocolate Sweet Potato Pie and Jarez Make-It-Rain Peanut Butter cookies are ideal options. And, for a breakfast sweet, try his Strawberry Field Banana Muffins Forever.
