Maxi dress with long sleeve T-shirt
While attending a press conference in Singapore for Captain Marvel, Brie Larson rocked a look that anyone can wear with ease. Rather than just wearing a simple dress, the star wore a tank maxi dress over a long sleeve T-shirt, and paired the entire look with a matching belt to give the outfit a more structured appearance. The actress went with neutral colors for this style, which are the in thing for Spring and ultimately made this look seem flawless.
When it comes to maxi dresses, we often think of layering over the dress rather than under it, but in this case, the dress itself becomes the layering piece. And with the colors being so similar, it looks like this was meant to be in terms of bringing these pieces together,
Even if you don’t want to go with this light shade of off-pink, you could always opt for black on black or grey on grey. And if you really want to make the look your own, why not choose to pair black and white or any other combination of colors. After all, this is the kind of look you could have a little fun with, especially if you stick with the solid color for the dress itself.
For the dress, I stuck with a standard black tank maxi dress with a gathered hem from ASOS. Not only is this super affordable, but with it being black, it goes with any color and style. Wear it alone or pair with the long sleeve t-shirt like Larson did, either way you can’t go wrong with a staple like this in the closet.
