If ever there was a perfect look that could go from work to a night out, it would have to be this stunning leather wrap top with black dress slacks. Not only is this a look that doesn’t seem like the usual mix and match, but it also has a stunning effect of making black look elegant and casual in equal measure.
While Brie Larson wore this particular look for a fan event in Singapore, we think this has just the right amount of versatility to be a part of our everyday wardrobe. After all, pulling together a good outfit isn’t just about going out to dinner or work. Even when we go shopping with friends, we sometimes want to look our best.
While you could try to hunt down your own leather wrap top with side tie, we thought something a bit more accessible was the answer here. And with that in mind, we went for a shirt that was a neutral color, while also giving us the exaggerated tie at the waist that makes this top pop. Luckily the Missguided tie side wrap shirt in camel is an excellent option that can be worn to work or out for drinks. Plus, I like the fact that it has long sleeves rather than being a tank top.
Of course, this look would not be complete without the perfect pair of pants. The Ankle Pant in Cotton Twill from Ann Taylor is the best choice. I love these pants for work and dressing up a bit when I am going out with friends. These pants have the clean lines that Larson was rocking, while also coming in multiple colors and fits. Basically, you could snag all the colors, and even get the right fit for your body, all without breaking the bank. These have long been one of my go-to pairs of pants, and I think they could become yours too.
