The Walking Dead season 9 episode 13 live stream: Watch online

There are new threats on the horizon, at least for the Kingdom. This week’s episode of The Walking Dead will future tension and bloodshed, and we’re ready for the fight.

Last week, The Walking Dead focused on the duality of parenting and leadership to illustrate some upcoming dangerous as well as Alpha’s weakness in her alleged reign over the Whisperers. However, episode 13 pivots to physical tension and bloodshed because there are a couple of conflicts looming in the not-so-distant future of the series.

According to AMC’s synopsis of “Chokepoint,” there’s a lot at stake on The Walking Dead season 9, episode 13:

"Daryl’s daring rescue mission forces Alpha to unleash a group of her own to retrieve what belongs to her, even if the price is paid in blood. The Kingdom’s plans to reunite the communities is put in jeopardy."

As Alpha orders a group of Whisperers to attack Daryl, Connie, and Henry and retrieve Alpha’s living punchbag (i.e. Lydia), Daryl and Connie already have a plan to take out Beta. After all, they know the best way to hinder Alpha’s attacks is to take out her right-hand pseudo-walker.

In the same episode, the Kingdom’s fair planning committees might have to go on hold. Well, at least they should, but we’re also biased comic readers who don’t want to see our favorite characters die during a fair or otherwise. Similar to last week’s episode, “Chokepoint” could parallel the two dangerous situations; however, the planning dilemmas at the Kingdom might not necessarily take place at the same time as Daryl and Connie’s escape, rescue, and defensive mission.

After all, we still don’t know who is talking to Carol and King Ezekiel in the teaser for the episode. Right now more than ever, the timeline is critical to the impending cutthroat storyline. Since not everyone’s guaranteed in the upcoming episode (or the rest of the season, for that matter), we could start to see some major losses on The Walking Dead this week.
