Kaz’s friends remain in the custody of the First Order, so he and Torra devise a plan to break them out. Here’s how to watch the penultimate episode of Star Wars Resistance.

The first season of Star Wars Resistance is rapidly coming down to an end. But before that happens, Kaz has plenty of tasks on his plate to get done.

In “Descent,” Yeager sacrificed himself to buy Kaz more time and ended up being arrested by Commander Pyre. Tam still remains under the watchful gaze of Agent Tierny, whose main purpose is to discover more information regarding Kaz’s connections to the Resistance. Captain Doza also helped Kaz and Yeager sink the Colossus, so the First Order will no doubt go after him next.

In “No Escape, Part 1,” Kaz and his friends start to fight back. According to the official episode description:

"Kaz, Neeku, and Torra devise a plan to free their friends, but it’s upended when Kaz bears witness to the full might of the First Order."

We are huge fans of Torra and her bubbly personality, so we can’t wait to see her in action again and teaming up with Kaz to release their friends from imprisonment. The thing is they don’t have the means to fight back, while the First Order has various resources at their disposal. How will Kaz and Torra accomplish this without getting captured themselves?

Like last week’s episode, this penultimate chapter of the season is bound to keep us on the edge of our seats, especially with its direct connection to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In the mid-season trailer, we briefly saw Hux making his speech on Starkiller Base. It looks like that’s going to take place in this episode, and we’re not emotionally ready with what’s to come.

After all, Kaz is our most recent connection to Hosnian Prime. He started off this series by saying that it’s his home and the only thing he’s ever known. The need to protect his planet is what motivated him to join the Resistance in the first place. All of that is going to be destroyed when the First Order unleashes Starkiller Base’s power. Sadly, this is going to be his Leia and the destruction of Alderaan moment.

Needless to say, these last two episodes are going to emotionally destroy us because Kaz is going to lose everything that meant something to him. As for what’s going to happen to his father, we’re not all that sure. We have a theory that he’s profiting from First Order activities. If he manages to survive, we can imagine a cold and emotionally devastating reunion in the future.
