Skrulls could help the Avengers

We trust Carol’s Skrull-punching abilities. However, it’s unlikely that she was able to fight every Earth-invading Skrull back in the ’90s. Some of the green shapeshifters are likely moonlighting as some of Earth’s heroes. Sure, a lot of Earth’s heroes are dust now, but any remaining imposters could help defeat Thanos, even after they’ve been forced to reveal their identities when Captain Marvel unites with the disarrayed Avengers.

The Skrulls might be universally villainous in the comics, seeing as the invade other planets, but they can also set their conquest aside to fight the real villain of the universe. You know: the man who deleted half the universe, plants, animals included (which still doesn’t make sense given Thanos’ supposedly savior-themed mission).

Driven by their hatred of the Kree and overpowering other inhabited planets, the Skrull Empire still understands that a universe-wide genocide deeply impacts them and their ongoing heinous mission to take over every galaxy. Since they have a handle of their priorities, we think they would postpone any conquest missions to help the Avengers fight a common enemy, such as Thanos.

Any Skrully revelations will obviously cause some side drama in Avengers: Endgame, but we hope the heroes can put conflict on the side to fight Thanos.
