If ever there was a segment of Carpool Karaoke that we expected to be a wild ride, it would have to be the episode featuring Cardi B. The rapper is already known for being a bit wild and out there. And when it came time to get in the car with James Corden, the rapper was ready, and so were we.

To say that there were shenanigans would be an understatement, and even Corden found himself swept up into the madness. This was a wild car ride from beginning to end, with the rapper pushing the limits of what the censors can allow. In honor of her hit single “Bodak Yellow,” which the duo performed together, Cardi B actually wore all yellow for her car ride.

On top of that original single, they also performed her song “Money,” which even led to the rapper yelling out to school children about the importance of staying in school. Unlike some of the other episodes of Carpool Karaoke, Cardi B and Corden left the car for a bit.

Their outing led them to a senior center, where they danced with some of the residents, and of course the rapper performed “I Like It.” There was something exciting and joyous about seeing the rapper and the late night host having fun with the seniors at the center, dancing and singing. It was about more than just doing a segment of the show; it was also a chance to bring some joy to other people.

There is something about Cardi B that makes her one of our favorite people. And having her do a segment of Carpool Karaoke confirmed that she is as much a boss as any other performer out there. Just the pure fun and joy of this episode makes it one of our must watch episodes.
