Is anyone surprised that Jake Peralta is taking things a little too seriously on this week’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine? When there is a murder case underway, Jake brings the scenario home, and Amy doesn’t really understand what is going on when she wakes up covered in red.
After last week’s episode, the Nine-Nine still has a lot of changes to adjust to. We saw the squad banning together to save their bar while Doug Judy and Jake worked together to try and free Doug Judy’s sister (even though she ended up pulling a Doug Judy move on him after all).
But still, there is an open position at the Nine-Nine. Gina left to go on to bigger and better things, but that doesn’t mean they’ve found anyone to fill her position as Holt’s assistant. In fact, the show has just never brought it back up.
So could we see a new character take on Gina’s desk (and subsequently have to deal with her statue), or is it always going to remain open in case Gina decides she wants to come back to her friends?
If we know anything about the Nine-Nine, we know that they’re not the kind of people who just move on from each other. They’re a family, and the idea that Gina Linetti isn’t coming back is just as hard for them as it is for the rest of us. So, what is up next for our favorite detectives? Will Amy forgive Jake for turning her into a murder scene? We’ll have to see what the squad has in store for us on this week’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine!
