To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

If you are looking for a charming rom-com that is perfect for basically any age, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the answer. This movie is filled with important messages revolving around things like being honest, being part of a family (and what it means to communicate with that family), and even our own self-confidence.

Perhaps the thing I love the most about this movie is the fact that at the heart of the story are love letters. It is such an old-fashioned concept, and yet a rom-com that is skewed towards young adults uses the love letter as a major aspect of the storyline. I found it inspiring and romantic on an entirely different level from many of the other rom-coms out there.

Even as the premise is a bit convoluted in theory, I really enjoyed seeing everything come together, especially as each of the boys Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) wrote a love letter to came into the picture. It was fascinating watching a relationship develop thanks to a love letter that was never supposed to be sent (thanks a lot, meddling little sister). And of course, the fact that there is a love triangle certainly helps to spice things up.

Basically, this is one of those super cute movies that actually gave us all the feels, and even had us wishing for a love letter boyfriend of our very own. It’s a reminder that love can be sweet, innocent, and right under our noses. And what more could you want from a rom-com?
