Storm and Thor

Sure, introducing a Storm and Thor alliance in any context in the MCU could help bridge the long-awaited gap between the cinematic X-Men and Avengers characters (and their relevant teams). However, we just want to see two heroes who are worthy of the power of Thor fighting together.

Aside from Storm and Thor’s electric power, we already know that Ororo and Thor’s abilities would easily compliment one another’s in any combat storm. The two heroes’ abilities to wield the weather as a weapon — even if Storm obviously harnesses more control over more weather patterns then just thunder and lightning — isn’t the only commonality the two mighty heroes share.

Thor isn’t the only person worthy of wielding Mjolnir, nor is he the only god to don the power of Thor. Before taken on the duties of Thor during a lengthy run in Marvel Comics history, Ororo temporarily embodied the power of Thor during the events of the Asgardian War.

Even when she doesn’t harness the power of Thor, Ororo is still a worthy opponent, who would naturally complement Thor’s own powerful abilities. After all, she did move and lift Mjolnir in X-Men: To Serve and Protect even when she wasn’t worthy of the hammer, which doesn’t even begin to summarize Ororo’s strength.
