35 of the most shipped television couples

Jess and Nick – New Girl
What you need to know: These two are the epitome of the cliché about opposites attracting. Nick is a disorganized man-child with terrible interpersonal skills. Jess, his loft-mate and best friend, is a quirky people-pleaser who teaches middle school. While Nick is busy sporting wrinkled T-shirts and yesterday’s pants, Jess is always neatly decked out in cutesy A-line dresses with dorky, dark-rimmed glasses that probably don’t have frames in them.
They are two of the four living in a super cute loft, with Jess being the only girl. Their friendship is cute enough, but when feelings start to develop, the chemistry is really something to behold.
Why we ‘ship them so hard: Hands down, it’s that first kiss. I’ve seen a lot of first kisses over the decades of my television tenure, but there are few that come close to that one. Maybe it’s the element of surprise that this goofy dude-bro could execute such an assertive and passionate kiss, or maybe it’s the way Jess shucks off her teacher vibe to really get into it, but it is awesome.
They are also very complementary to each other. Whatever one lacks, the other picks up the slack. Ultimately, this is kind of what drives them apart, but I believe it’s also what brings them back together in the end.
How to watch it all unfold: Sadly, the series ended in 2017, but you can watch the entire series, including Nick and Jess as just regular ol’ roommates and buds, on Netflix and on Hulu with the Live TV add-on.
