What you need to know: I’m not saying that Kelly and Dylan (and 90210) invented the love triangle, but they certainly set the bar for all other high school love triangles. Most famously, Kelly and Dylan cheat on his girlfriend (and Kelly’s bestie) Brenda while she’s away (also cheating) in France.
Their connection lasts through the entire series, even when Dylan wanders his away off the show for a few seasons. The two like to call themselves “just friends,” but anybody standing within a 10-foot radius could quickly determine that was a lie.
Why we ‘ship them so hard: I’ve been honest about my die-hard loyalty to this show and its fandom from the jump. I ride hard for this throwback drama, and this couple is ‘ship royalty. They may have started out shady, but they really earned their OTP status over the 10 years of the show.
In my mind, Kelly and Dylan are somewhere living happily ever after because their relationship is built on familiarity. That’s the dream, right? Finding someone who has known you through grade school, rooted for you during your retrograde amnesia, and sneaked around with you while your boyfriend tended to his schizophrenic wife. That’s not too much to ask.
How to watch it all unfold: Hulu, reliably, has most of all of the 10 seasons. But it’s kind of a bummer that it couldn’t get the music rights to some of the episodes, so there are a few missing. There’s enough to get the gist.
