“The Birds & the Bees” marks another Big Reunion for Outlander — but it’s bound to be much less joyful than the last one.

The wait is finally over, Sassenachs. In this week’s Outlander, “The Birds & the Bees,” it’s pretty much guaranteed that Brianna will find her mother and father. Thank Murtagh for that, because after the horror she went through in “Wilmington,” I can’t think of anyone who needs her mother more than Bree needs Claire right now.

Here’s the episode synopsis, courtesy of Starz:

"Brianna’s search for her parents finally comes to an end. The family returns to Fraser’s Ridge, where Jamie tries to bond with his newfound daughter. Meanwhile, Brianna struggles to suppress dark memories of the traumatic event that transpired in Wilmington, but her efforts to conceal her pain do not go unnoticed by Claire."

As the description and teaser below hint, Bree is just incapable of processing what Bonnet did to her at the moment. Instead of seeing to her injuries, emotional and physical, she’s determined to find Claire and Jamie asap — even if it means hurting herself in the long run.

Meanwhile, Bonnet is still around and so is Roger. Despite the fight with Bree last week, Roger has decided to stay in North Carolina, meaning he’s cutting out of the deal he made with Bonnet a bit early. As you probably predicted, Black Jack 2.0 is none too pleased to hear a crew member is leaving.

“You weren’t thinking of abandoning your duties before our journey’s end?” Bonnet asks Roger. Roger doesn’t respond but looks very uneasy, so maybe he’s not a complete moron after all. Crossing a villain like Bonnet can only end in tears.

“The Birds & the Bees'” other plotline: Claire wants to change the course of history again. Jamie is a bit more dubious, which makes sense. It’s not like their grand plan to prevent Culloden in season 2 worked, or was even close to being successful. I can only assume Claire wants to get involved in the Revolution, or perhaps prevent Murtagh and his team of tax rebels from being hung or thrown in jail. It’s probably not a well-thought-out plan, but at least Claire is finally getting her mojo back.
