Saturday Night Live Christmas special live stream: Watch online

Christmas time is here, and that means it’s time to enjoy all the classic Christmas sketches from Saturday Night Live. It’ll definitely help spread some Christmas cheer.

Get ready to decorate with Martha Stewart, enjoy some Schweddy treats, and bring it on down to Wrappinville, because it’s time to celebrate Christmas time once again with Saturday Night Live. Every year, Saturday Night Live collects the best of its Christmas sketches new and old, and lets us enjoy the more comedic side of the winter holiday.

Hopefully this year, your favorite sketch will make the cut. We most likely can count on the uber classics to make it in this year. That includes Eddie Murphy’s hilarious Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood, Andy Samberg’s and Justin Timberlake’s blush-worthy “D— in a Box” and John Malkovich’s unreliable reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

But, there are newer sketches that could likely be part of the two-hour special this year. On Claire Foy’s episode this season, the show aired the short Dad Christmas. And last season, the show aired Nativity Play, Holiday Jewelry, and the super bloody Gift Wrap sketch (okay, we’ll see if that last one makes it into the holiday special this year).

Hands down, though, only the best of the best sketches can make it into the coveted Christmas special. And while season 44 is still going on right now, it’s likely this season could produce a champion Christmas sketch that will land in the halls of SNL Christmas history next year. But for now, we have the classics. And no matter how many times we see Alec Baldwin as that terrifying elf boss or hear “I wish it was Christmas today,” we know it’ll never get old.
