The stop-motion animation

The animation on The Nightmare Before Christmas is some of the best even now, and makes for visuals that are simply stunning. And when you consider that this was animation done in 1993, it becomes even more impressive. Even after 25 years, the stop-motion animation in the film is still the standard we look to when it comes to these kinds of movies.

Just think, if something did not line up just right, they would need to reshoot the entire scene just to get it the way it needed to be and make sure the flow was correct. That means that there is a certain measure of precision required to get the animation perfect, and that is exactly what Tim Burton did, he got it perfect.

At the same time, there is something even more artistic about stop-motion animation. There is a beauty to the movements that really captivates the imagination. Over the years, we have seen other examples of this form of animation, but The Nightmare Before Christmas has remained an impressive masterpiece, simply based off of the stop-motion animation we saw.

The animation was stunning when the film first released, and we still consider it a work of art today. In fact, we think that’s why we still watch the movie now, because of the beauty we witnessed through the art of the animation.
