Spider-Man: Far From Home filming: Spidey and Nick Fury finally spotted together in Venice
By Mia Johnson
Set photos finally show Nick Fury and Peter Park together on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Does Peter even know who Fury is?
As independent as Peter Parker might like to think he is, when it comes to being Spider-Man, he’ll always have a watchful eye over him. And in this case, it’s one eye and an eye patch, because Nick Fury will definitely keep watch over him in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
In recent set pictures, we’ve seen Peter Parker out and about (such as in Venice with his class or saving people at a carnival in Prague). We’ve also seen Nick Fury out with Maria Hill and (possibly) Happy. But we haven’t seen Peter and Fury together — until now.
During filming in Venice, Tom Holland and Samuel L. Jackson were seen on set filming along the famous Venetian canals once again. And based on the photos, there seem to be two different scenes (or at least two different takes on the scenes). The first of the two scenes take place in the daytime (you can see a photo here on Reddit), but there’s not much else to take away from the one picture.
The second scene (which has a few photos here on Imgur) takes place later in the evening as they cruise down the canals. The first of the photos show Peter wearing his suit with a hoodie over it. He’s not really hiding much here, but maybe he thinks Fury is stranger danger — unless Spider-Man meets Fury in Avengers 4. The second and third photos show him without the hoodie and looking away at something as if his spider senses were tingling.
At some point, it looks like Peter will actually have that boat to himself, based off of a video that surfaced online from the Venice filming. The short clip doesn’t show much action, just Spider-Man slowly going down a canal in the boat. We’re sure he isn’t just taking a leisurely boat ride, and it’s likely there’s going to be some high-speed boat action going down through the canals of Venice. (Whether that includes multiple chases in the day and night is yet to be known.)
One thing that’s for certain is that international work is now complete for the movie. Tom Holland announced that on his Instagram just last week. And that makes London, Prague, and Venice the three official locations that Peter and his friends hit in the movie. That also means they’ll be heading to the states (New York, specifically) to wrap up filming. Hopefully, we’ll get some good shots from the streets of New York in the coming days — likely being the beginning and ending scenes of the movie.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to open July 5, 2019. From all the set pictures we’ve seen already, hopefully they haven’t given too much away and there’ll still be a few surprises in store.
