Jason Momoa as Drax

Jason Momoa is definitely a fan favorite. It’s no surprise. He is a beautiful man with an amazing physique and that stunning, long hair. It’s no wonder that studios wanted him to be in superhero movies. While we all know that he now plays Aquaman in the DC universe, he actually came close to taking the role of Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. It turns out he ended up not taking the role because he was worried it was too much like other roles he had to take on in the past.

We have mixed feelings about this one. We love him as Aquaman, but we also would have loved to see him in the MCU. But, we think he deserves more of a leading role than he would have gotten to play as Drax, so maybe things worked out for the best.

With all of the controversy these days surrounding Dave Bautista and his thoughts about Disney firing James Gunn, we do wonder if maybe Disney is looking they had cast someone else. The fate of the Guardians of the Galaxy is up in the air at the moment, but we are excited to get more of Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
