Wesley Snipes as Black Panther

This casting was in the works many, many years ago. Wesley Snipes announced that he wanted to star in a Black Panther movie in the early ’90s. That project didn’t pan out and was actually stuck in development stages for decades. Throughout this stage, directors such as John Singleton were rumored to be doing the project. After Snipes’ became involved in the Blade franchise and had legal troubles, he wasn’t really being considered anymore.

Even though it took Marvel a lot longer than it should have to come out with Black Panther, we have to say we love the casting choices. Chadwick Boseman brought power and strength as well as the gentle, kind nature of T’Challa to the screen in such a compelling way. He also is such a dedicated, talented actor outside of the MCU. So, we have to say we are happy with how everything turned out as we love the King of Wakanda how he is. Fans are also excited to see how the Black Panther franchise develops and looking forward to at least one other movie being announced soon.
