Widows, the Steve McQueen hit that just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, has an incredible cast of women. From Michelle Rodriguez, who McQueen was told not to work with but ignored them and cast her anyway, to Elizabeth Debicki and Cynthia Erivo, it is one movie that you’re not going to want to miss.

But the real star and woman who should host Saturday Night Live to promote the film is Viola Davis. The Oscar winner has shown power with her acting time and time again but we really haven’t seen her let loose on a show like SNL before.

Leslie Jones has portrayed Viola in a sketch titled “Film Panel” but the actress herself has yet to make her appearance on the show. With her role in Widows, this is the perfect opportunity for Viola to come to SNL and show us all her comedic timing.

We’d really love any of the incredible women from Widows to have the chance to host. If Davis gets the chance to host, we’ll suggest Broadway’s Cynthia Erivo be the musical guest. Just have an entire Widows themed episode, we’d love it.
