Keira Knightley

Between Colette coming out this September and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms being released this Christmas, it is a big year for Keira Knightley. She’s been on the show before, well, sort of. Margot Robbie played Keira in a sketch back in 2016 about the New York Film Festival where she was promoting her film The Imitation Game.

A fun idea would be to have the roles reversed. What if they brought back the “Actress Roundtable” sketch and had Keira Knightley take on Margot Robbie? Prior to being the Oscar-nominated actress we know and love, Knightley had quite a few comedic roles (even including Elizabeth Swan from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise).

Knightley can be funny, clever, and is known to deliver incredible performances every time she’s on screen, so she’d be a great choice to promote Colette as well as The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Maybe Knightley could take the Christmas slot and Jason Momoa could take the episode before, making December quite the month for SNL.

There is no doubt that Keira would be able to truly master sketch comedy and it’d be nice to see her do something different than the period pieces she’s been working on as of late.
