Details about the premiere of American Horror Story: Apocalypse are minimal. Clues tell us the premiere will start us at the mysterious Outpost Three.

What can we expect for the start of American Horror Story‘s season 8?

The trailer for the newest season was released last week, and it contains plenty of terrifying clues.

But a synopsis for the first episode of the show, discovered by @supremelygoode, may contain a huge spoiler.

According to this synopsis:

"In the aftermath of the Apocalypse, a group of survivors live together in an underground haven called Outpost Three, a refuge from the radiation fallout, where the matriarchal Coven controls its inhabitants and punished those who violate the rules."

While it was clear from the trailer that this mysterious Outpost Three would play a role in the series, this synopsis, if accurate, does give us more information. As we already knew this season would be a crossover of Murder House and Coven, thus it isn’t a surprise that the Coven witches are being featured right away.

We already know that this season is all about the end of the world, almost certainly brought about by the antichrist, Michael Langdon, who was born in season 1. But it looks like witches will also be playing a big role right away.

We’ll wait to see how this all comes together. What does the end of the world mean? Will this series use time travel? Will it set up an entirely new timeline for future seasons of AHS? There are so many unanswered questions still at play, and we can’t wait for the mysteries to unravel. AHS often features many different storylines and plots, and we are anxious to see how they all braid together for season 8.
