For years, we were told that they were not dead and that LOST was real. It was super fun to find out we were being lied to. But at the same time, it was still sad to watch our favorite characters realize their fates and hold each other.

Well, sort of. The thing about LOST is that you never really get answers about anything. It is the reason we all were so intrigued from the beginning, and it is why we stuck around. Even years later, the creators are pointing out that the series ending didn’t mean they were dead the entire time, just that they all meet each other in the end.

Which, that is a nice thought. Going through a shared trauma builds a bond. So if they were, in fact, alive on the island together, it makes sense that when each of their times come, they see those from Oceanic flight 815.

We still don’t know about how a polar bear survived with the Dharma Initiative but hey, there is a lot about LOST that we just brushed under the rug and didn’t question. Still, there wasn’t a dry eye as all our favorites were reunited once again to say goodbye.
