2012 – The Avengers

Look, there is no denying that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now one of the most popular franchises of all time. With the release of Iron Man in 2008, we suddenly have become obsessed with the story of these heroes.

What really threw the MCU into the box office juggernaut that it is now would probably be The Avengers. The first time we saw all the heroes together, it was the start of something incredible. We watched every hero we’ve come to love come together for an epic battle.

The plot had been building since the first Iron Man film, and with 2012’s Avengers, we got the whole crew together. Since this film and the popularity of the MCU has grown, we have a multitude of side films and even television shows.

Can we even say… this is a perfect movie? The Avengers doesn’t have a dull moment and watching Loki wreck all of New York City is delightful, especially when you know the story arc that Loki has up to Avengers: Infinity War. It is fun, brings everyone together, and may be the main reason we love the MCU as much as we all do.
