1981 – Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is a nearly perfect movie. A Steven Spielberg and George Lucas creation, Indiana Jones is a world we all want to be in. A professor of archeology,  Henry Jones Jr. goes by the name Indiana and ends up saving artifacts that he believes should be in a museum.

Fighting Nazis, Indy falls in love with Marion Ravenwood and the two are trying to stop the Nazis from opening the ark. A story of adventure, romance, and Harrison Ford looking his best, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark has become one of the best movies out there.

Spielberg continued to make the series because obviously, there is something interesting about this professor. He just wants to preserve history and he doesn’t care who he has to stop to do so. Then again, this is a man who is willing to put his life on the line to make sure he saves artifacts.

Clearly, we all love Harrison Ford and having him as Indiana Jones is a gift to us all and that means we owe our thanks to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
