Nashville

What it’s about: Nashville follows the life and career of fading country music star, Rayna Janes, and her rivalry with up-and-coming country star Juliette Barnes. There are boatloads of drama, an estranged millionaire husband, and of course a ton of great music.

The crazy connection: Anyone whose favorite part of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the songs will be able to appreciate all the performances on Nashville. Music-centric shows are hard to get right, but both shows have been able to make sure their songs enhance each episode, as opposed to being just filler for the show.

Where to watch: All seasons are currently streaming on Hulu.

Bob’s Burgers

What it’s about: Bob and Linda Belcher and their three kids, Tina, Gene, and Louise, run a small, constantly struggling burger joint aptly named Bob’s Burgers. The show follows the family’s daily life and hijinks which include everything from Bob hallucinating after getting trapped in a wall, Tina writing erotic “friend fiction,” and Linda writing and performing her own Thanksgiving song.

The crazy connection: One of Bob’s most memorable quotes from the show is “You’re my family and I love you, but you’re terrible. You’re all terrible.” That definitely feels like it could be straight from a Crazy Ex-Girlfriend script. The humor between the two shows is very similar, and Bob’s Burgers even has a few iconic musical episodes and numbers thrown into its many seasons, which any Crazy Ex-Girlfriend fan can appreciate.

Where to watch: New episodes will air on Sundays at 8:30 p.m. EST starting Sept. 30 on Fox. Previous seasons are currently streaming on Hulu.
