The 100 season 5 episode 9 live stream: Watch online
Octavia may be out of commission, but the war between Wonkru and Eligius isn’t over just yet. And both groups will soon be warring among themselves as well.
Last week’s episode of The 100 was full of twists, including a powerful ending that could change the course of the season. But if viewers thought the surprises would end with Octavia’s reign, they were wrong: “Sic Semper Tyrannis” appears to be just as shocking as its predecessor.
I suppose it shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the episode’s title translates to “Thus always to tyrants” and is often associated with the stabbing of Julius Caesar. As the preview shows fighting within the Eligius and Wonkru camps, it’s safe to assume that both groups will be looking for new leaders. And there will likely be major disagreements in the process.
We know that McCreary’s return to the Eligius camp means trouble for Diyoza. Several shots from the episode’s promo indicate that their conflict will escalate this week. It looks as though Eligius will try to overthrow Diyoza, and that decision certainly won’t benefit the grounders or the sky people.
On that subject, Wonkru will also be searching for new leaders after “How We Get To Peace.” There have been plenty of hints that Madi will be pressured to step up as commander, something that will force Clarke to make difficult decisions. It’s also possible that one of Octavia’s followers will take on the role, though that may be equally as dangerous.
The 100‘s showrunner, Jason Rothenberg, has also been posting some worrisome tweets about tonight’s episode. Last week, he wrote: “Next week’s is all new, airs AN HOUR EARLIER, and will probably start a riot.”

His words confirm one thing: This week’s episode will be an intense one, and it may leave fans in distress. Let’s just cross our fingers that no one important dies.
