Preacher has brought Tulip back from the dead. Now what?
We all love her: our favorite southern badass, take-no-shit gal. Jesse’s “end of the world” and Cassidy’s one-time lover. Tulip is alive and kicking in the second episode of the season, and it’s safe to say we’re ready to see her back in action.
Last week Preacher saw the arrival of Angelville and its intimidating matriarch, Madame Marie L’Angelle. With nowhere else to turn Jesse brought Tulip’s lifeless body to his Gran’ma and begged for her help.
Now, with Tulip back and the identity of her killer revealed, it should be easy to go forward, right?
AMC’s website lists a brief description for Sunday’s episode, “Sonsabitches”:
"Desperate to escape Angelville and his family, Jesse attempts to forge an unlikely alliance with a familiar adversary."
Who could the adversary be? Jesse has no shortage of them. All signs seem to point to the Grail, though, since they would be the best option for helping the trio escape Gran’ma’s clutches.
At the end of last week’s premiere, the sneak peek showed just that.
With a voiceover of Cassidy saying that the Grail was responsible for Tulip’s death, followed by shots of Herr Starr, Featherstone, and Hoover, the latter two being led by Jody, Cassidy, and Tulip into Angelville, it seems they’ve decided to do just that.
Seeing how the trio will work together will be a challenge. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of scenes of the three of them together, but that could change once we see the entire episode. And will Jesse actually take Herr Starr up on being the Messiah? It doesn’t seem like it as he uses Genesis to get Herr Starr to his knees.
Whatever happens, we’re expecting another action-packed episode.
