Paul Rudd has made an entire career out of being the guy who was in the background that we wanted to know more about. Case in point? Knocked Up. A movie that focused on Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigel, we cared more about Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann than anything else.

So flash forward to 2012 and we finally got This Is 40. The movie focuses on Rudd and Mann’s characters in Knocked Up and their family, struggling with married life and what comes along with being in your 40s. While not the movie that we fell in love with Paul Rudd, it is a perfect example of why we love him.

Clueless is arguably the Rudd role that stole our hearts but he has also been around for quite some time. With every new role, we just find some other reason to add him to our list of men we’d definitely marry without a second thought.

Obviously, Scott Lang gave us six-pack Paul Rudd so thank you to Ant-Man. ButThis Is 40 is one of those relatable movies that humanizes actors in an interesting way and made us love and appreciate everything that Rudd gives us in his work. Including Bobby Newport.
