Meghan Markle could attend the Teen Choice Awards, following her historic nomination

Meghan Markle’s stylish ways have earned her a historic nomination for the Teen Choice Awards. Fingers crossed she wins and graces the awards show stage.

From a modern royal wedding to going on a road trip with the Queen (okay, a train trip), Meghan Markle constantly offers us new reasons to adore her. Markle easily has an award-winning personality, but its her impeccable style choices that could win her a historic award back here in the states.

The new Duchess of Sussex has been nominated for the Choice Style Icon award at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards. Though Prince William and Markle’s hubby Prince Harry easily had their own beloved fandom back in the day, the two never got a nom from the awards show.

Markle is up against Blake Lively, Zendaya, Harry Styles, Chadwick Boseman, and Migos. Just looking back at some of Markle’s recent stylish appearances, we think she’d easily take home that iconic surfboard (just imagine, a Duchess and a surfboard, oh yes). Unlike her competitors, Markle has a slew of royally strict fashion rules to follow — and she still owns it every time.

Kensington Palace has yet to confirm if the Duchess would attend the August 12 event. Given she has plenty of royal duties to attend to across the pond, it’s understandable she may not. Then again, to see Markle alongside Hollywood elite would be a pretty great throwback to her acting days.
