Most Disney princess stories focus on them finding their true love. While Mulan does have a love interest, her real focus is on being her own hero and saving her father.

Mulan is a feminist living in a male-dominated world. But that didn’t stop her from believing she could do something just as well as any man. That fire in Mulan is what has made it a cult classic today. Young women saw that if Mulan could believe in herself, so could they.

While I was only four when the movie came out, it still is one of my all-time favorites. This iconic Disney movie is turning 20 this year, and we thought the best way to pay homage to Mulan is by talking about the best parts of the film.
