Having mopped up the tears from Hayley’s funeral last week, tonight on The Originals, the Mikaelsons reunite in “The Kindness of Strangers”. While the bodily forms of siblings Klaus, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah and Freya may be geographically separated, the siblings mentally gather in Elijah’s subconscious mind.
Is Elijah responsible for drawing his siblings into the depths of his dark soul?
Will they step into the horrors beyond the red door?
Is this a witch plot of astral projection designed to entrap the original family?
While the gang battle to escape from the inside, Hope may need to weave her magic to guide them out – assuming Hope is still on the outside. Super witches Vincent and Ivy may be reluctant to aid the Mikaelson clan – especially if they are responsible for constructing the mental displacement. War is brewing in New Orleans and the supernatural factions need to avoid conflict if they wish to celebrate the upcoming Mardi Gras without bloodshed.
In the preview, Klaus’ ward Marcel appears to be drawn into the kin’s astral prison. Whether he likes it or not, Marcel is also shackled by the ‘always and forever’ bond of the original family.
