Anarchy threatens to erupt on Earth as Selena tries to fulfill the prophecy. Culturess has all the information on how to watch Supergirl this week.

Last week, Supergirl and her team appeared to defeat Reign once and for all. Using black rock from Argo City, they managed to detach the Worldkiller from her human counterpart, Samantha. Then, believing Earth no longer needed her, Kara returned to Argo City to spend time with her long-lost mother.

Unfortunately, she had little time to relax. Even without her enhanced hearing abilities, Kara sensed right away that danger was afoot, and her paranoia proved to be well-founded. However, thanks to Alura and Thara’s refusal to take her concerns seriously, she was too late. Serena, a High Council member and Dark Priestess, had already stolen her and Mon-El’s spaceship. The episode ended with her arriving on Earth and meeting Coville.

What grand plan have they cooked up? You can read the official synopsis for tonight’s episode, titled “Make It Reign,” below:

"SUPERGIRL PREPARES FOR BATTLE – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) learns the true depth of Serena’s (guest star Anjali Jay) nefarious plans for Earth. Supergirl, Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Alura (guest star Erica Durance) must devise a plan to stop her before Serena gets to Earth. J’onn (David Harewood) prepares to say goodbye to his father (guest star Carl Lumby)."

Judging by the episode preview, Serena’s plan involves bringing the Worldkillers back. At this point, the mythology of Supergirl has grown pretty convoluted, so introducing a major villain this late in the game seems risky. But it should be fun to see Kara and her mother work together.

We only hope their relationship ends less tragically than J’onn’s and M’yrrn’s.
