4. When he proved he’s the best hype man of all time

So we’ve talked about Tom and Zendaya’s friendship a little bit in the previous slide, but rest assured, their appearance on Lip Sync Battle is only the tip of the iceberg. Rarely do you see a Zendaya post on Instagram without a “TomHolland2013 and 1234567 people liked this” underneath, or vice versa.

They’ve danced together, gone shopping together, poked fun at each other in public, and generally done all those things that make a friendship the best kind. Zendaya made a surprise appearance in one of Tom’s Instagram posts for his charity, The Brothers Trust, while Tom once recreated that famous photo of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet. Where Will rightfully made sure the spotlight (and cameras) were aimed at his wife, Tom did the same for his best pal Zendaya.

Only recently, Tom once again proved just what an excellent hype man he can after Zendaya’s appearance at the most recent Met Gala. Zendaya wore one of the best looks of the evening, dressed as Joan of Arc for the Heavenly Bodies-themed event. Even though Tom wasn’t there, he still made sure to give his friend a compliment and make doubly sure her brilliance escaped no-one.

He posted a photo of Zendaya in her Versace gown at the Met Gala, with the caption “All hail the queen. Killing it mate”.

Cue us playing “Whatta Man” by Salt ‘N’ Pepa on repeat.

If that’s not friendship goals, we don’t know what is. Someone tell our mates immediately to post our best selfie – they’ve got a lot to live up to.
