At episode 20, we’re getting close to the end of Supergirl season 3. Yet, the team still seems no closer to figuring out how to stop Reign and save Sam. For now, they at least have her contained, but it’s only a matter of time before she manages to escape; already, she has begun to develop a resistance to kryptonite.
In “The Fanatical”, they found a new lead, thanks to a surprising source. If Coville’s cult could use Kryptonian rock to create a Worldkiller, couldn’t they use some to destroy one? It’s far-fetched, but at this point, they have little choice but to hope. So, Kara and Mon-El went off to the final frontier.
Judging by the promotional images for this week’s episode, they will find more than a special rock there.
