Everything comes down to family in the Shadowhunters mid-season finale. Here’s how you can stream the episode this week.
Everything is going to hell on this week’s Shadowhunters.
Well, to be more accurate, Hell is coming to New York. With her Owl back in her custody, Lilith is ready to finally bring Jonathan back, and destroy everything. But, having lost two of her disciples last week, she’s still going to need one last assist.
According to Freeform’s synopsis, Lilith finds an ally in the mid-season finale; and anyone who’s willing to help the Queen of Edom is likely no friend to the Shadowhunter crew. With one of the city’s best Shadowhunters once again under her control, it’s going to take everything and everyone to stop her.
This week, “everyone” even includes Magnus’s father, Asmodeus. So some things are actually going to hell (Edom) this week. We learned last week that Asmodeus is one of the few people that Lilith won’t mess with.
Whether or not he’ll actually help Magnus and his friends is still up in the air. But the first half of the finale is called “Familia Ante Omnia.” In Latin, it means “Family Before All.” There might be hope for Magnus and his father yet.
Meanwhile, it’s looking pretty likely that Jonathan will return by the end of the night.
