This season, we thought it was Ruby until Elena slit her throat two episodes ago. Last episode, Talbot stepped into the chamber and infused himself with all of the Gravitonium.
And thus, Graviton was born on screen!
Here’s the official synopsis, in case you missed it:
"A newly determined Talbot takes Coulson to meet the enemy and attempts to stave off the destruction of Earth."
In case you aren’t incredibly familiar with the comics, Graviton is Franklin Hall, one of the scientists currently stuck in the gravitonium. Simply put, he can manipulate gravity. This includes force fields, levitation, and creating blasts of gravity (think a little similar to Daisy’s quakes, in a way).
He can also make objects have gravitational fields, drawing other objects in. It’ll be fun to see how Agents of SHIELD plays with things like this.
Just imagine how great of a showdown we’ll have between Daisy and Talbot in the next couple of episodes! But on the flip side of that coin, it sure feels like it’s still that same time loop as before. Two destructive powers against each other probably won’t work out so well for the Earth.
