Supergirl gets down to business in a brand-new episode tonight. Here are the details on how to watch “In Search of Lost Time” online.
Last week, Supergirl returned from its hiatus with one of the strongest episodes of season 3 so far. “Schott Through the Heart” put the Worldkillers on hold, shifting its focus to a pair of family relationships. Winn reunited and eventually reconciled with his mother, while J’onn learned that Myr’nn has a form of dementia. (You can read the Culturess recap here.)
Can Supergirl keep up the momentum?
Below is the official synopsis for tonight’s episode, which boasts the literary title, “In Search of Lost Time”:
"J’ONN HAS TO FACE THE TRUTH ABOUT HIS FATHER – When Myr’nn (guest star Carl Lumbly) inadvertently causes psychic disturbances at the DEO, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must work with J’onn (David Harewood) to contain the resulting chaos. Meanwhile, Mon-El (Chris Wood) begins training Kara in fighting techniques he’s learned in the future for battling Worldkillers."
The title suggests that “In Search of Lost Time” will foreground the J’onn and Myr’nn storyline over the Worldkillers one, which presumably has bigger implications for the overarching plot. To be clear, we’re not complaining. As last week’s episode illustrated, Supergirl excels when it emphasizes emotion rather than mythology. Plus, structuring the internal conflict around action should keep the emotion from getting overwhelming.
