Black Lightning ends its first season tonight. While that’s sad for any Black Lightning fan, we’re probably in for a really stellar hour. Everything this season has been leading up to this, and since the pieces have been set up so well, it will be fun to watch them all fall down.
Ahead of the episode, check out the synopsis for tonight’s big season finale, courtesy of TVGuide. Although it isn’t particularly telling, we all expect a lot from “Shadow of Death: The Book of War.”

In fact, Marvin “Krondon” Jones III, who plays Tobias Whale, told The Hollywood Reporter:
"“It’s just action-packed. This finale was one of the hardest to shoot for me, for Cress [Williams], for everyone else. It was strenuous, hard work because of all the action. It’s so unpredictable. I haven’t seen it yet myself but expect to be blown away. You won’t know what’s coming to the last minute.”"
It’s hard to imagine that much action since we last saw Black Lightning half dead and the rest of the Pierce family worried for their lives while Gambi hid them away in some cabin. However, we can fully expect Jefferson to bounce back quickly. And maybe now that Jennifer understands what is at stake, she will also spring into action.
