RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 episode 4 live stream: Watch online

It’s time for a ball! RuPaul’s Drag Race is down to 11 queens, and episode 4 is about to challenge them to prove their creativity on the runway.

Last episode, the queens had to work their brains and prove to the judges that they were not only funny, but smart. In teams, they had to come up with a concept for a commercial for a new app. It helped us realize who was a team player, who was genuinely funny (Asia stole the show, even in the background), and who needs to watch their back.

For this week’s main challenge, Ru wants the queens to work the runway and make the judges gag on their eleganza. They need to prepare for a ball — the last ball ever! The ball challenge is one that happens every year on RuPaul’s Drag Race — usually later on in the season — where the girls must come up with three unique looks inspired by a specific theme, usually with one outfit made from scratch.

In the past, themes have included the Sugar Ball, the Gayest Ball Ever, and the Pop Art Ball from All-Stars 3.

This season, the queens will be serving some post-apocalyptic, global warming realness. Once again, they will be tested on their sewing skills and how well they can conceptualize an outfit to match the judges’ expectations. Yuhua, who should have mastered challenges like this thanks to her seamstress experience, struggled the first week when they had to make their own outfits.

But now she’s gone before having a chance to redeem herself.

In episode one’s “Drag on a Dime” challenge, Mayhem Miller and Miz Cracker had two of the best looks. Those skills will definitely help them this week. But Kameron Michaels has been proving that she has some show-stopping outfits packed — her feather outfit last week was killer — and we can’t count Aquaria, Monique, or Monét out either.

Anytime a theme regarding anything close to “post-apocalyptic” comes up, some interpretations get it so wrong. Some queens go way too big and lose sight of their original concept by adding more and more pieces. Others will wear barely anything, going for something too-sexy and usually ill-constructed.

There haven’t been that many jaw-dropping runway moments yet on season 10, so this is the remaining queens’ chance to really wow the judges. Let’s get this ball started!
