RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 episode 3 live stream: Watch online
Last week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race tested the queens on their ability to perform in a comedy-musical. But this week, the remaining contestants have to prove how funny they can be in front of the camera.
Kalorie Karbdashian Williams sashayed away last episode after a lackluster, forgettable performance in PharmaRusical and for her unimpressive “Best Drag” look on the runway. This week, the remaining queens need to prove how marketable they are, because America’s Next Drag Superstar is more than just a pretty face.
For the mini challenge, Ru has the girls filming screen tests to promote his latest venture, the RuPaul’s Chocolate Bar campaign. Last week’s musical may have tested their performance abilities and comedic timing, but this week, the girls have to prove they’re not only actually funny, but that they’re smart too.
And that’s where a lot of girls fail.
This task perfectly prepares the girls for this week’s main challenge. Split into groups, the remaining contestants have to come up with a concept for a mobile app. They will have to film a commercial for their inventions in front of judges Carson Kressley and Michelle Visage. That’s no easy feat!
In past seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race, some teams show up wildly unprepared, while others try to do too much. In a sneak peek for this week’s episode provided by Entertainment Weekly, we see teammates Eureka O’Hara, Miz Cracker, The Vixen and Blair St. Clair promoting their app “End of Days,” an app for “more than just the gays,” as Blair points out.
Even from the short clip, we can tell this team is a frontrunner. They get Michelle laughing — which is a tough task in itself — when Miz Cracker fake-slaps Blair, who’s freaking out over the end of the world. Then Eureka actually slaps Cracker with a Bible! Now that’s dedication.
Judging from this week’s preview, it looks like Aquaria might be stirring up some more drama. She’s clearly being painted as the young ingenue, much like season 7 winner Violet Chachki, but will it work out in her favor? She’s an Instagram sensation, but so far, she’s just been safe. This might be the week to make or break Aquaria, and her chance to prove that she can play with the comedy big dogs, like Miz Cracker and Eureka.
With Courtney Love as a guest judge on this episode, we’re hoping for some serious over-the-top antics both on-screen and on the main stage.
