The Shadow World is still two steps behind Lilith, but they might be making progress this week. Here’s how you can watch tonight’s episode of Shadowhunters.

With Lilith’s work becoming less and less discreet, Clary and her friends just might find some answers on this week’s Shadowhunters.

After last week’s fiasco with the city’s ley lines, the Shadow World is finally aware that everything that’s been happening is the work of a greater demon. But they still don’t know which one — they do know it’s not Asmodeus — or what its endgame is.

On the upside, they are starting to make at least a little progress. After combing through security footage of the night Tim Dempsey was possessed, Isabelle got a good look at the demon that possessed him. It’s not one she or Jace have ever seen before, but now they know what they’re looking for.

Tracking the demon might prove easier this week too. After flooding the ley lines with angelic power and warlock magic last week, there was a significant blast to Lilith’s hideout (though her altar remained untouched).

That’s hard to miss, especially with all the Shadowhunter tech at the Institute. Even Katherine McNamara, who plays Clary, agreed:

Meanwhile, Simon and Maia will be hard at work figuring out what the Seelie Queen did to him. The Mark of Cain showed its power last week, and a werewolf took the brunt of it (in fairness, he attacked Simon first).

Russell and his friends already had problems with Simon — especially with his and Maia’s relationship — and there’s no way they’re letting this go. Here’s a sneak peek at Russell’s latest confrontation with Luke.
