This week on Shadowhunters, the new High Warlock of Brooklyn steps in, and the transition is anything but smooth.
Losing a job is tough. Having to graciously pass the baton to your replacement is tougher — especially when he’s threatening banishment. Needless to say, Magnus is in a less than ideal spot this week on Shadowhunters.
Lorenzo Rey is taking over as High Warlock of Brooklyn, and his first crisis is no small feat. Thanks to a new demon presence, the Warlocks are losing control over their magic. Someone has corrupted the ley lines of the city and Rey’s prime suspect is his predecessor.
Meanwhile, the real source of chaos is staying firmly in the shadows … for now. Lilith’s been here for about an hour this season and she’s already having a field day building her team. Yes, she’s been recruiting more disciples, and quickly.
The Shadowhunters are on the case, but struggling. This week brings the unusual team-up of Izzy and Luke, hoping to figure out just who’s possessing these mundanes.
Here’s what they do know: After seeing the damage Tim Dempsey did in such a small timeframe, whoever’s behind it is no one to be trifled with — especially because they’re a greater demon. As Magnus notes: “This magic is very old and very evil.”
Last week, the Seelie Queen — now Magnus is nervous. Whatever Lilith is planning, it’s bigger than just saving Jonathan. Will her presence be fully uncovered tonight? Maybe. Regardless, when she does step into the spotlight, it’s likely going to be quite a show.
