I think the big news for “Chapter Twenty-Nine: Primary Colors” is Andy Cohen. According to the trailer, he’s in Riverdale to endorse Hermione Lodge for maybe, and there’s about as much subtlety to this cameo as Jughead’s morose voice-overs. The housewife wink is cute, I’ll give Riverdale that.
But let’s not suggest that Hermione is just one of Cohen’s Housewives with a capital H. She’s proven herself much more than that.
Second in line for most exciting is FP and his loyal Serpents finally addressing the turf war that’s been building. Of course, in a trailer this cleverly edited, it’s hard to make any real predictions, but I’m happy with more FP, especially when he’s not wearing that dumb soda jerk costume but is instead in his dreamy Serpent leathers.
Betty continues to string us along as she toggles between super squeaky all-American, and super scary dark vigilante. The tension between she and Chic is brewing, and I can only hope it reaches it’s head this week. He’s only getting stranger, and the show is practically banging us over the head with how we’re supposed to feel about him. Get on board already, Betty.
This nonsense about Archie as Hiram’s guy is now officially on my nerves. How can anybody choose

It just further proves that Archie really is good for nothing, and is possibly the dumbest character ever. It’s really convenient that he’s so attractive, because he is really pushing the boundaries of what we’ll expect from a “protagonist.”
