Who is performing at halftime for Super Bowl 52?
By Buckie Wells
The New England Patriots will face the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl 52, but who is going to be performing during the halftime show this year?
Since over 100 million people typically tune into the Super Bowl, the halftime show is a primo spot for any performer looking to get on people’s radars. Typically, whoever headlines the performance has just released an album that they want to promote.
This year, Justin Timberlake will perform during the Super Bowl 52 halftime show. And the album he wants to promote happened to just come out last Friday, entitled Man of the Woods.
However, Timberlake clogged up a lot of headlines ahead of the Super Bowl for reasons beyond his new album. In addition to people taking issue with his involvement in a Woody Allen film, Timberlake also plans to include a Prince hologram in his performance on Sunday night.
And, oh yeah, people are still really mad about that Janet Jackson thing.
In all fairness, they deserve to be, and it became quite apparent on the Internet that Timberlake can’t just skate back into the spotlight.
Without hearing his new album, I can’t speak to the quality of his music right now. But I can say that his Punk’d episode remains one of my favorites, because it really showed his true colors. In fact, it was such an embarrassing moment for him, he must’ve taken all the clips off YouTube.

Unfortunately, milquetoast Justin Timberlake is just another dude named Justin forcing himself into the spotlight again. Luckily, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Leslie Odom Jr. will also perform at Super Bowl LII. Honestly, I’d rather watch those three juggle oranges than to tune into JT’s 12 and a half minute performance at the Super Bowl this year.
And besides, unless he plans to jump from the roof, what’s the point?
