According to David S. Goyer, Green Lantern Corps film could still happen

Just because Warner Bros. wants to shake up their managerial staff doesn’t mean that Green Lantern Corps is off the DC movie slate quite yet.
After a good-but-not-great movie year capped by the box office bomb that was Justice League, it seems that Warner Bros. has finally taken the hint. In addition to appointing Walter Hamada as president of DC films, there are several other executive shake-ups that are occurring. For the most part, it’s likely that none of these said shake-ups will affect the upcoming slate of DC films, but Hamada still has his work cut out for him.
Aquaman, Shazam! and Wonder Woman 2 are definitely still happening, but there are still other films that have been mentioned yet sit idly on the horizon, like Green Lantern Corps.
For anyone looking for an update on that, David S. Goyer (who served as producer and writer on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and would reprise these roles for a Green Lantern Corps film) offered the following tidbit as hope:
"I don’t know. Who knows, especially with what’s currently going on with the DC universe? There’s obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now."
So optimistic, isn’t he? Well, here’s the thing: he’s got Krypton on Syfy now. That means he’s a little busy. However, at the same time, it means that if Krypton can get made, so can Green Lantern Corps.
Forget the Ryan Reynolds catastrophe. It’s irrelevant. There have been so many other catastrophic superhero films bearing the DC logo since then that it doesn’t even matter.

But we know better now. We can and should do a John Stewart/Green Lantern film. DC Comics has the best and richest superhero catalog of all time, and there’s no reason not to branch out with talent both in front of and behind the camera to bring these iconic characters to life. Nobody’s going to stop making superhero movies. We just need to elevate them in terms of quality and narrative.
